The Atlantic City Rescue Mission (ACRM) is set apart by the Spirit of God to preach the Gospel and meet the physical, emotional, and other basic needs (through the provision of shelter, clothing, food, counseling, referral and structured programs) of the poor and those who are bound and bruised by addictive lifestyles in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and surrounding communities.
The Challenge:
- ACRM couldn’t get a clear picture of its constituents due to lack of reporting functionality.
- Its older system had poor customer support and long turnaround times, and its website was out of date and not easy to edit. Plus, staff had to manually reenter online donations from the organization’s old, homegrown website into its database.
- To keep pace with the increasing trend of constituents donating online, the organization wanted a solution that was up-to-date and offered online fundraising capability. And they wanted it to integrate with a CRM solution so that information could flow both ways.
The Solution:
- ACRM selected The Raiser’s Edge and Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow.
- The Raiser’s Edge and with Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow integration provides the organization true insight into who its donors are.
- Since Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow is subscription-based and half the cost of Blackbaud NetCommunity, the selection team was able to get support from the Board, even in a down economy.
ACRM also got Blackbaud Hosting Services with Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow, eliminating worry about backups, product updates, and security.
The Results:
- More Functionality, Less Work: Integration has given way to more flexibility, simpler reporting, and a significantly reduced workload.
- Increased Memberships and Donations: Within the first four weeks of launching its new website, ACRM had 120 new memberships. Plus, online donations were up in the first few weeks of launch.
- Dramatic Time Savings and Streamlined Processes: Batch donation processing time has been reduced by 60% and gift receipting is faster and simpler. Before, the process could take up to two weeks; now it takes only three days. Plus, volunteers can now submit applications, register for orientation classes, and register for facility tours online.
- Remote Accessibility: Best of all, with the remote access provided through Blackbaud OnDemand, staff can work from just about any location!
